Robert A. Marrazzo, DVM

Throughout his life Dr. Marrazzo has developed a passion and love for cats, as well as an appreciation of their unique nature. He has dedicated his professional career to their care, and to learning more about them. After graduating from Cornell University, he attended the Univ. of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. He was awarded his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 1988, and received the Phi Theta Kappa Award for academic excellence in veterinary medicine and surgery.
After graduation, he actively sought out positions that allowed him to work with leaders in the field of veterinary medicine. He has practiced in internal medicine and neurology specialty practices, and also has a strong background in emergency medicine and surgery and critical care.
Dr. Marrazzo is a Fellow of the A.A.F.P., the American Association of Feline Practitioners. As a Fellow, Dr. Marrazzo must meet vigorous continuing education requirements in feline medicine and surgery, above and beyond that which other veterinarians are required to do. He is currently an Adjunct Professor of Veterinary Medical Technology at St. Petersburg College, the past-president of the Pinellas Animal Foundation, and a board member of the Pinellas County Veterinary Medical Society. He has been a regular contributor to Ask-A-Vet newspaper column, and the Healthy Cat Journal.
He and his wife Joanne have two children, Christopher and Kimberly, and share their home with four cats, Andy, Big Al, Gus, and Arnold, two dogs, I-dog and Nina, two ferrets, Lois and Clark, a gerbil, a guinea pig, and a tree frog. In his free time, he is an avid bicycle rider, enjoys kayaking, boating, reading, and has special interests in history and archaeology. >^..^<
Irene T. Lee, DVM Member, A.A.F.P.
Dr. Irene T. Lee graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida, where she was recognized for excellence in feline medicine and surgery by the AAFP. She has a strong passion for feline medicine, and has been a member of the Cat Hospital team since 2002. She served as the president of the student chapter of the AAFP, and was an advocate for promoting feline education and hands-on experience for her fellow students. She has been an active volunteer in stray cat spay-neuter programs for a number of years. She and her husband Jimmy have a daughter, Gracie, and share their home with six cats, Basil, Charlotte, Cinnamon, Meowmee, Nina, and Whisper. >^ ..^<
